========== Upgrade goals in no particular order ==========
Case --> Looking for a low noise option :sleep:  with a side window :sol:  and good airflow. Other people in the household do not want to hear the fans at night :sleep:  . So far, I like the Silverstone Raven RV03, but I am open to other suggestions.
--> Also looking to add lighting effects. The video card is UV reactive and I perfer a blue tone.
System RAM --> Add another 2 GB, 4 GB, or 8 GB kit :wahoo:  ; See top of thread.
Storage --> Thinking about a RAID-5 or RADI0+1 setup because this system doubles as a network backup and media server. The HDDs will be replaced to achieve this.
Monitor --> Looking for good deals on 1900 x 1080/1200 to add/replace.

I posted a big ole comment, but something happened and it didnt go through. Here's the gist of what I said.

New monitor, I suggest a new GPU also. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

More ram might be good, since you do virtual machines.

For HDD's, grab Spinpoint f3's. Cheap, supa fast, reliable. Get em while they're hot.

Sorry for abbreviated post, didnt feel like writing a novel all over again :p

Thanks for the reply. I accidently posted the original thread as a "Question" :??:  instead of "Discussion", which I deleted.

Looking on feed back regarding the RAID array. Is it better to do RAID5 or RAID1+0 using 4 drives via the motherboad chipset/BIOS.
