In the past few years graphics cards are growing larger and faster, but my main point here is size. Currently the graphics processing units are 40 nm with a die size of 340mm squared (AMD HD 6970) and the next generation cards will most likely have 32 nm units. In the future, are graphics cards going get smaller or continue to grow in size.

Thanks

There will always be different sizes not just one. I got a few vintage cards that will fit in the palm of one hand while I got two cards that are as long as the 5970. I could if I had the cash buy a few cards that are even larger than the 6990 length wise. The Quantum 3D Mercury aka the brick had four pcbs with a fifth to bridge all four planes.
