Is this mobo dead?
Hello, I have the biostar a780g m2+ and I've come to suspect it might be faulty. I've had a problem for a while where OS's will hang and not boot all the way, or not shut down, when I do get a successful boot I have no usb peripherals... Ran memtest86 and found a faulty stick of ram, ordered new ram and the problem persists. It's followed me across both linux and windows and now I'm at the point where I'm wondering if the board itself is bad?

I got two blue screens that made me believe the board might be bad, I got USB bug code error and "Attempt to write to read only memory.". That specific install was so bad that I had to reformat, and then I didn't get blue screens any more, just problems booting up and shutting down.

Someone suggested the RAM I ordered might not be compatible with the board, because it isn't on the list of supported memory. That doesn't make a lot of sense to me, the board takes DDR2 800 and that's what I got, do I really have to adhere strictly to a small list?
