After searching google for a little while I take it they're not the little
round ones like on desktop motherboards, is that correct?

And why the heck are they 27 dollars?

Anyone have a cheap source?

Thanks alot

They are usually not the standard $2 lithium batteries.

Actually, most notebooks use rechargeable batteries for this, while
desktops use single-use Lithium cells.

The price is partially because a rechargeable battery is more expensive,
and partially because Dell can charge whatever they want. If you get
the battery out, you may be able to find a cheap replacement. Be VERY
sure it's the same excat type of battery (single use or rechargeable,
and chemical system).
