This is going to be my second build since 09, I need a pc that will not have issues streaming media to a PS3 or Xbox 360, will be used for using office programs such as Word and Excel, also want to be able to run upcoming games at highest settings possible, and want to watch videos at least at 720p resolution.

Approximate Purchase Date: Available to purchase from no and hopefully no later than 6/04/11

Budget Range: 900-1300

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, Web Browsing, Office for Online School Work, Watching Movies, Listening To Music

for what you are doing an i5 2500k will be perfect for you. no performance gains from i7 2600k.
mobo- asrock p67 extreme4 at amazon for 160$ free shipping (8.50 shipping at newegg)
gpu- -cf in the future
case- -6 fans!! and good cable management you could also go with the full tower nzxt phantom for 140$ that comes with a fan controller and better cable management
dvd drive-
ssd- corsair force 3 when they come out but i think this will put you over budget
did i miss anything?

Thank you for the quick replies! I really didn't have too much research on the i5 compared to the i7 previously and have not even seen these speeds first hand as I am using a e8400 right now. As you both have explained it looks like the i5 is perfect for what Im looking for right now.
