Hey guys,

I'm building a new PC and I've ordered everything except the processor. I can't pick between the i5 2500K and the i7 2600K.

I'm looking for some specific information about these processors and The Foundry's Nuke compositing package.

I do a lot of compositing, and would love to have better render times. My main question is does the latest version of Nuke make use of processors with hyperthreading, and if so how well? Will the increase in performance be worth the $100 for the i7?

Yeah thats what I thought. I just needed some confirmation. Have just got more conformation from some other sources as well. Just pulled the trigger on the i7 2600K. Thanks!

So i built my system two days ago with the i7 and man it renders at awesome speeds! All 8 threads are used at 100% each time a frame is rendered so I know its making great use of the processor which is nice to know!
