AMD A8 X4 3850 OR AMD Phenom II X4 955

It's called the A8-3850, there's no X4 in there. -> But it's got 4 cores (X4)
I'm going to use it mostly for entertainment plus some virtualization.
Maybe a bit of cad.
 


As a CPU, the A8 is less powerful than the X4-955. But it does have the advantage of good integrated graphics, whereas with the Phenom you would have to buy a discrete GPU.

Tough choice.

Since you're going to Crossfire/SLI two discrete graphics cards, then GO FOR the Phenom ii x4, no questions. The GPU in the AMD A8 will go to a waste anyways since your computer wont use it since you're planning on using a discrete graphics card. Plus, the phenom 2 performs much better than the A8.
