Sound output problem

im having this problem since forever cant fix it .....![:(]( ":(")
heres the problem:::
i have intel DG41RQ motherboard and 2.1 speaker system connected to the back panel of case...but when i use headphones in front port the sound output from 2.1 (back) speakers doesnt go off...whats the point using headphones then :@...the audio controler is Realtek HD audio 5.1. the speaker wire is connected to the green one and other blue and pink ones are not used..
have any suggestions ??????????plz
