Hello,
I am running a quad core Intel CPU running a 3.0GHZ and when I run a norton full sys scan the CPU overheats. alarm set at 55C. I have replaced the CPU fan with one larger and added two large case fans one in and the other out to case side. The fan program is increasing the speed but still overheats.

Any one have a solution?

MB is a GA-P43-ES3G with a LGA775 socket.

Start of with removing the HSF (heatsink/fan) and then reinstalling it and making sure that it is seated well on the processor. Also the alarm set at 55C is a little low. The Tcase for processor is around 71.4C would make the temp shut down around 86C.
