Upgrading very old system

I need your advice regardless upgrade of my sister's old computer.
System:
Mobo: gigabyte GA-K8N51GMF-9 (rev. 1.0)
Cpu: AMD athlon 64 3200+ Mhz single core
Gpu: ATI HD 4850
Ram: 1 Gb (2x512Mb)
Power supply: LC power 450 w
Medium size case

I am thinking of upgrading that system to get solid computer for everyday use but with minumin money spended.
Any ideas?

If you can find a very inexpensive s939 dual core processor and upgrade the system ram to 4x1GB DDR-400 memory, it should be a good system for everyday usage.
