Phily . Drive not working

Hello,
My computer isnt reading any cds or dvds or anything else that i have tryed i no i have one becuase ive been useing it before i went to go fix it and the drive is missing it cant find it anywhere in the scans and my labtop did not come with a instalation boot diask how should i fix this?

Verify that the data and power cables are firmly attached to the optical drive and the motherboard (data), assuming this is a desktop machine.

It is also possible that your optical drive has simply died. It happens. Please provide the basic specs for your system and I am sure we can make some better recommendations.
