Hello, what's an AC in a DVD player?

The power coming in from the wall outlet is AC

I'm referring to AC as a part that's embedded within the DVD player here.

The power supply converts AC to the various voltages used by the DVD player. Typically, 115-230VAC in, and it outputs 3.3/5/12 depending on the player (or a combination of these voltages). Most players it's a separate board and easy to identify. Just follow the AC power cord and see what board it connects to. There are some newer players that combine it all on one board though.
