What's (HyperTransportBus)& hows it affect components & performance

Hi..

I'm between two same brand am3 mobos.. they are different in whatever this is FSB/BSLK/Hyper Transport Bus.. one is up to 5200mt/s and the other is up to 2.6ghz..

-Can anyone tell me what exactly is this aspect, and if it affect the decision of buying other components according to it (compatible to it)?
-And can you tell me how does it affect the performance of the PC?
-Also, how come one is measured with MT/s and the other with ghz?
