Hi, all

I have a Sound Blaster live SB0100 from my old PC.
Now I'm on Windows 7 64 bit.
Thinking of whether I should use the old card with kx driver or upgrade to X-Fi Titanium (Non-HD)

My usage will be movie and game. Audio I use SACD player
I'd like know what the advantage of X-Fi over Sound Blaster live
It seems that EAX no longer well supported by new games.
OpenAL is software implemented?

Welcome all your inputs
Thanks

I don't believe there are even SB Live! drivers for 64-bit, or even 32-bit windows 7.

EAX is basically dead, and for older titles only, and like Directsound, can no longer be hardware accelerated. OpenAL and ASIO can be hardware accelerated though.

I'd look at a soundcard like the Auzentech Meridian 2G or the HT Omega Halo though before settling on the Titanium.
