Wireless or Wired

Ok, So I have a Wireless-N router which I have set up on my home computer to actually be wireless instead of connecting an ethernet cable. When I test my connection speeds, I get about 30mb/s with wireless, and only 2.5mb/s wired. I feel like wired should be faster, but maybe I am doing it wrong.

Help me out, let me know what you need to know as I am not a 'networking' guy.

Thanks

  1. yeah that sounds wrong. Check your network card settings to make sure you're set to 10/100 auto, or 100/full on duplexing.

Your devices in line should all be at least 10/100 switches for the wired.
