my old computer p4 with 40gb hdd was working fine till last month. tody i tried to put it on after a break of 15 days ( it is rainy season) the power will be on for 1 sec then stops. the cpu fan also starts for a sec. I checked the ps by shorting the 15 and 16 pin, all the required voltages are fine, this i also tried with all the periferal like cd rom hdd connected except the mother board(disconected), next i removed all power cable from the external device and only connected the motherboard (24 pin connector)
