Concerned about sizing

I'm getting the Coolermaster Hyper 212 EVO CPU cooler to go onto a AsRock Z77 Extreme4 motherboard and 2x4Gb Corsair Vengeance RAM.
Just wondering if I should spend the extra $5 for the low profile RAM as I'v heard that the Corsair Vengeance heat spreader wont fit under the Hyper 212 EVO.
Just wondering if anyone knows which way to go with this.
