GAMING PC HELP!

Hello, I was wondering if this build would be considered low-mid-or high gaming build and can it run games like black ops and guild wars 2 at max settings? Additionaly, is it given power supply a good one? ...wont blow up? THANKS! I tried to go for a budget build...this cost me about $600 total (including OS) CPU- intel sandy bridge i3 2100 GPU- nvidia 460 gtx 1gb Memory- 8gb corsair ddr3 HDD- 1tb Seagate Opt Drive- asus 18x, 24x Case- Xion Cyborg MOBO- asus p8p67 **PSU- 500w Corsair builder series cx

budget build, lowmid imo, you wont get max settings but it should be reasonable
Psu should be fine, the 8Gb was a waste, 4 is plenty otherwise fine

Looks great. I agree with the above, you'll almost never use >4GB while gaming. I have 8GB in my PC, but the only time I use it is during video work.

Drop the RAM down to 6GB, and put more money into the processor. Try going for atleast an i5 if possible. And don't goto AMD, but thats just me.

He's already bought the kit, he was seeking clarification on the validity of it all, and thats a dual channel Mobo he has, so 6Gb would lose the D.C. benefit

@Getdahorns His board doesn't do triple channel. I think you meant drop the ram down to 4GB.

I agree. Drop the RAM down to 4GB and try to find the extra money for an i5-2400.

560Ti is 190.00 with rebate. The 460 is like 170.00 with rebate.

If you look for combo savings, you can even save more money. Keep looking around. For example, on ebay, there is someone selling unopened boxes of i5-2400 for 150.00 + free shipping.

i can on my laptop(i7 gt 540m) and the game is gpu limited on my laptop

ok guys. It is true i have already purchased these items but i had a question. i understand 8gb instead of 4gb wont help in gaming, but in other tasks in the computer like web browsing and such...will 8gb show a difference? The main use of my computer is for gaming but not the sole purpose. Plus...it cost 30 bucks extra for 8gb since it was on sale.

i5 is the best bang for you buck.

everyone recommends the i5 2500k

no, 8Gb isn't going to give you any boost over 4Gb on web browsing
if you were using video editing, or other ram heavy applications then its useful,if not, then 4Gb is plenty
