Hey all, this has probably been asked many times but I just need a straightforward answer. I had my pc built like 2 1/2 years ago. SO my motherboard came with 3x2gb dd3 corsair ram sticks...in my bios it reads the 6gb of ram but my pc is only showing 4gb. I tried everything, switched them around and had new ram sticks sent to me. They said it might be an issue with the Mobo but I dont think their is since in the BIOS it reads 6gb. I have 1 stick in each of the orange slots. But I was thinking of just buying a new set of ram sticks..2x4gb

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

That is the link to the ram i was thinking of buying but I was reading through the compatibility for ram and the mobo but I cant really figure out if these will work. So can anyone give me some advice as to exactly which ones I should buy? I would really like to just have 2x4gb

Thank you in advance. Greatly appreciated

What OS are you using? If os is 32bit then it cant support more then 4 gb or 3.5gb. 64bit os can support more then 4gb.

If you want to upgrade memory then go for it. 8gb is lot beneficial now a days. That G.skill ram will work on your mobo.

Do you use ramdisk? If biso detect 6gb ram then there should be no problem in hardware.

If you can can get a high speed memory then it may help you in future, if you want to update your system. You can use it later. And you dont need to oc it now, it will run at lower speed for now automatically.
