I recently bought a new graphics card for an older computer, from the system reqs it should have worked. But when i put the card in I got only a black screen even though the lights and fans turned on and were working. I did all of the things suggested on multiple computer advice sites and nothing worked. After all that, I called their tech support and they said that i most likely need a 350w+ supply instead of the 300 requirement on the box.
The computer is http://www.shopping.hp.com/shopping/data_sheet/px769aa....

These are the specs for the motherboard: http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Docume...

What I'm thinking of buying is: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Dynex%26%23153%3B+-+400-Wat...

Would that power supply be compatible/work with my computer/motherboard?

What is the graphic card you chose? Dynex doesn't make good quality product. If you're able to purchase online, then shop at newegg for antec earthwatts 380W it's around $40 only but if this is your only option.. then yes it will do fine. It has the required pin connectors for your motherboard. The specs mentioned: 24-pin main connector, PCI Express connector and SATA connector
Includes one 24-pin-to-20-pin adapter and power cable

Best power for you is antec 380W / sesonic 430 v2
/ corsair 430

This is the graphics card I bought, off of newegg. The main reason I'm looking at that PS is because its rather cheap, and I have a gift card for bestbuy for $35 I could use. Also from the reviews it looks like most of them worked well enough for how much I;m going to using the computer.

The graphic card is low end. Personally I would go with other brands like Antec or Corsair where they have known reliability and whatnot. Your dynex is gonna be fine. Use up your gift card for it. The 4350 doesn't use much power.
