Update bios question!

Hey all, this should be a simple question for most.

I am trying to update my bios for my p8Z77-V so I can run the new I7-3770 IB CPU (currently running a I5 CPU).

I went to asus.com and downloaded the bios, I'm just a amateur and sadly don't know where to go from here... If anyone can give me good step by step instructions that would be awesome!

Your motherboard manual will have step-by-step instructions. So will the manufacturer's website where you downloaded the new BIOS.

Follow the instructions exactly.

I followed the instructions but the led flashes and then goes solid after 5 sec meaning It didn't install properly. I pretty sure i downloaded correctly, put the file in the root of my usb and renamed it propery. Anything else I missed? Thanks.

Was the USB formatted Fat32/16?

Yeah, default is fat32 for mine.
