Hello,
I am currently constructing a new rig after i redeploy back home. I am solid on my amd ati setup. But looking at the latest and best performing RAM, i notice it states: "DOMINATOR GT quad kit with Intel XMP 1.3 profile Four matched 4GB modules for use in high performance Intel systems "

My question is.. does it matter if i get this ram and run it with my new FX 8150 zambezi 8 core+ asus crosshair IV 990FX chipset, or will it cause problems?

Solution
There is a minor improvement in memory latency but it's hard to tell because the only platform which implements quad channel architecture is the X79 platform which has some very expensive 6 core CPUs and one quad core.

Ok, just so long as i am not going to run into any issues running a quad channel kit on a dual channel supported mobo. im not really worried about saving some money on RAM. And im not an extreme overclocker or someone who takes notice to such a slight improvment, especially in latency. Thank you for the information.
