What happens if the frame rate exceeds 60hz for this monitor lg e2041

the gpu is gtx 570 in games like cod modern warfare 2 or bf 2 we get fps of 110 at 1600x900 with high details so this monitor is capable of only 60hz will the monitor will flicker

No the monitor will explode and set fire!

On a more serious note you can actually limit your fps to 60fps with frame buffering.

frame buffering what is that..pls tell me in tell how to limit the fps..i also play old games like counter strike 1.6 they doesnt have v-sync ..so how to set the frame rate below 60fps..

Yes, V-Sync limits the In-Game FPS to the Refresh Rate of your monitor, in this case 60Hz, you may experience visual tearing though.

I'm not sure, but I think you may be able to force triple buffer in Nvidia Control Panel.

Try seeing if there is an option in the Nvidia Control Panel.

At the worst case, you could buy a 120hz monitor.

i buyed the monitor what would i do now..still to buy a cpu..so i have to buy a suitable gpu for this monitor..for games like counter strike 1.6 there is no vsync in monitor or control panel what would i do now
