Time to upgrade? or start from scratch?

so ive had this compaq pressario sr1901wm for years. everything still runs great. ive thrown some extra ram in it but now its finally really starting to show its age. im on a super tight budget and dont know if its worth it to try and salvage this thing and try upgrading it. or start over and maybe try building off the $500 guide i found here on the site.

any advice would really help alot

mostly gaming. i play some MMOs. not alot of FPS games or anything to demanding. it plays WoW fine. and most other games. sometimes i have to turn the graphic settings to low to get them to play tho. there are just a few games coming out in the future i want to be able to play on decent settings.

I would definitely start from scratch then, you really can't go anywhere with your previous setup in terms of upgrading.
