Depends on the 570, reference designs vent out the back, vendor designs normally vent into the case.

Hi Proximon, I am curious. Why do you go with the 560Ti over the ATI 6950? In the reviews that I have read the 6950 is a little faster ( they are pretty much tied on most games) . But I haven't studied it to the nth degree. You are not alone, a lot of people are recommending the 560 Ti, what am I missing?

Well depends what resolution you play at. If you play on 1980x1080 or 2560x1080 or you like dual or triple screens (eyefinity) then i suggest you go for 6950 mainly because of of the 2gb ram on the card. If you play mostly on 1680x1080 or sometimes on 1980x1080 then i certainly suggest the gtx 560. Keep your monitor resolution in mind.

by that do you mean 560 or 560 ti?

I will always recommend the 6950 first, but the OP has a thing for NVidia :) There are differences in the way the two brands behave that can be subjective and I feel that personal preferences are fine.

I agree. Both cards seem about equal in performance. The 560 Ti seems to have some problems that the 6950 doesn't though in other areas. However, I agree with you that if someone likes Nvidia, that the 560 Ti is a great choice.
