Currently having a few issues with finalizing the work on my new pc. Here are my current specs that pertain to the issue:

Tower: Cooler Master Storm Enforcer USB 3.0 Mid Tower ATX Case with Window and Black Interior (SGC-1000-KWN1) http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004WK3KKQ

Hard Drive: Samsung Desktop Class Spinpoint F3 1 TB SATA 3.0 Gb-s 32 MB Cache 3.5-Inch Internal Bare-OEM Drives, HD103SJ http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002MQC0P8

DVD drive: Lite-On LightScribe 24X SATA DVD+/-RW Dual Layer Drive IHAS424-98 - Retail (Black) http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002SIMPXM

PSU: CORSAIR HX Series CMPSU-750HX 750W ATX12V 2.3 / EPS12V 2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS SILVER Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139010

Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-P67X-UD3-B3 LGA 1155 Intel P67 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128488

Now, the issues:

1) In the back of the Hard Drive and DVD drive, there are all the required ports for power and data. The strip that connects to the PSU has on it 4 different connectors all labeled SATA (3 protruding from the strip, one at the very top). Does it matter which one goes into which Power supply port in regards to the Hard Drive and DVD drives, or is it simply however you want to plug in?

2) There are three sets of wires titled HD Audio, AC '97, and USB coming from the inside of the top of the tower (I assume this is what needs to be plugged into the Motherboard in order for the power, usb, reset, headphones, and microphone jacks to work). Where do these plug into the motherboard?

3) There are a LOT of plugs that come with the PSU. Are they all used, or are there supposed to be left overs?

Thank you for all the help.

1/Just use one cable to power both the hard drive and dvd drive .

2/ usually those connectors are at the front and bottom of a motherboard . READ THE MANUAL that came with it .

3/There will be lots of left overs . Use a cable tie to bundle them up and hold them from falling in to fans and other moving parts

In my haste i accidently put the manual away. Doh! 2 is now answered.

Also, I know to use one cable to power both. But there are 4 different connectors on that outlet. Does it matter which goes where?
