I tried searching for this but fell short.
I currently have 3 monitors hooked up, HP 23" (max res 1920 x 1080), AOC 23" (max res 1920 x 1080), and a Dell 19" (max res 1280 x 1024).
I purchased a cheap 20 dollar adapter that converts the HDMI to Display port and it works for the most part. But I get a fuzzy screen, and it looks as if the refresh rates are off. Its very choppy on the monitor that uses it.
When i tried switching the 23" monitors connections, it doesn't register the other monitor at all unless I fool around with the display settings, constantly detecting etc to get it to register it. Very frustrating! Takes about 10-15 minutes every time i restart/shut down my computer.
So I'm looking for an Active HDMI => DisplayPort connector. I know they range around 100 bucks, but can't seem to find one with any feed back to know if I'm purchasing a quality working product or not.
If there is another fix, and you guys know about it, i'm all ears! or eyes in this case
Thanks for any advice or links to a good working adapter!
