Rear audio issues

I recently purchased the gigabyte 990fxa-ud3, and with the rear audio ports i get no sound out of my speakers. I downloaded the drivers from the dvd but nothing comes out of them. any tips?

Here's the drivers from Realtek's site if you want to try them. Just select the driver for your current OS. Just click on the "I accept" and "Next"

I fixed it when I pouted in my device to the audio out it said somthijg like "what do you want to set this device up as?" And I said somthing odd
