Boots fine with 4 sticks of ram but not 2

So currently I have 4 sticks of 2gb ram in my system which I will detail below. I'm just kind of confused why this would happen and I was wondering what you guys thought. I wanted to take out 2 sticks of ram to put in my other test build. When I pulled them I couldn't get my system to boot windows it would just BSOD. I tried putting the ram in different slots with no success.

Phenom II x6 1045t
Asus M4a785td-m Evo
2x2gb Some cheap G.Skill ram

I thought it had something to do with my overclock, so I took my FSB from 250 to 200, but still BSOD. Weird right?

Just curious what you guys thought.

More about boots fine sticks
  1. Run Memtest with one stick at one time and see if any bad one, if nothing wrong, mostly the mobo...
  2. user manual page 1-12 the have to be in the same channel
  3. Thanks both of you. I think they were in the right channels but I'll give it another shot. Also memtest is a great idea, because it might be something in my windows partition.
