How can i tell if my network adapter is defective

Hello,
my wireless connection says connected but limited and when I try ipconfig /all it can not find an ip. my ipv4 & 6 are set to automatically. it still wont connect. it wont connect in safe mode either. it doesnt help when i restore it to an earlier version when it was working. help please!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did you only check the computer? Did you reboot the router? Did you check to make sure you are connecting to your wireless and not another one that may be available.
