Socket: 939 processor making strange noise

i have a hp pavilion a1250.it has a ms-7184 mb.the processor is making a sound like its processing.i know it the processor because i can unplug the 12v 4 pin plug and it will stop.when i boot it up it stops once it gets to the hp blue boot up screen.the key board freezes.btw it wont do that noise if you leave out the memory.justs beeps.same with cooling fan.beep beep.any ideals.

processors dont make noise. EVERYTHING stops when you unplug the 4 pin plug because other components cant work without it. Processors dont make a noise "like its processing". If its anytjhing its a fan, hard drive, or PSU, most likely the hard drive if its a clicking type sound.

I think I know what he means, it like a really really high pitch chirping sound.

it sounds like when the hard drive making.but there hard drive cds,or none of that just the cpu ,psu,and memory.yes the fan but that not it

Well I would say either your mobo or PSU. Either the PSU is going out or the mobo. Check for bad capacitors.
