I have never heard of a board that could use DDR2 and DDR3 simultaneously, it was always one or the other.

I don't think this board ever saw the light of day, there is absolutely no review of it and all sites mentioning it only points to the CeBit show ... moreover I don't think it could actually use both at the same time even tho the wording seems to lead to that.

I was always under the impression that on combo boards (DDR+DDR2, and DDR2+DDR3) that the memory controller would operate in one mode or the other, but not both.....

It is almost unheard of to have a board that can support both memory configurations. The vast majority of motherboards are designed to support one or the other.

That said, it is entirely dependent on the make and model of the motherboard!

What is your motherboard? If you post the make and model, we can answer your question. (It's best to include information like that in your original question, then people won't have to ask you, which then means it's take so much more time for you to get an answer. :)  )
