E8400 with a HD6950

Do you guys think an e8400 oc'ed to 3.6ghz will be okay with an HD 6950? Or will the 6950 be wayyy too much overkill? I currently have an HD 4850 and I just wanted something with more oomph.

I would go for a 6870, it´s still a nice improve from your 4850, and a more balanced choice.
