Aloha guys,

I'm pretty new at building a custom pc, i have all the parts and put them together. However, when i turn it on: fan, CPU fan, CPU light, case lights, motherboard power light are on; but it doesn't beep or run POST, please give me some advice if possible.

My specs:

MSI P67A-GD55 (B3) LGA1155 Intel P67 B3 DDR3 SATA3 and USB 3.0 A&GbE ATX - Motherboard
Intel Core i5-2500 3.3 GHz 6 MB Cache Socket LGA1155 - Processor
Sapphire AMD Radeon HD 6850 1GB PCI-E Video Card (100315L)
Seagate Barracuda 7200 1 TB 7200RPM SATA 6 Gb/s NCQ 64MB Cache 3.5-Inch Internal Bare Drive ST1000DM003
Corsair Vengeance 8 GB ( 2 x 4 GB ) DDR3 1600 MHz (PC3 12800) 240-Pin DDR3 - Memory
Antec BP550 Plus 550W ATX12V V2.3 Modular Power Supply
Cooler Master Cooler Master Elite 430 Mid Tower ATX Case with Window

I check the CPU, video card, HDD and DVD Drive cables they are connected properly. Please help, Mahalo.

If you are seeing something on the screen from the CD, you are already past POST.
Take out the CD, and turn on the power, if you see an image of a company logo or plain text on the screen, hit the delete button repeatedly until it goes into the BIOS.

From BIOS, you'd have to change the booting sequence to the CD-rom drive first, then save and exit. It'll reboot itself again and start booting from the CD and you can install the OS then.

You won't hear any beep sound if the mobo does not have on-board speaker, or if you didn't install one yourself. Most mobos today don't have on-board speaker that gives off the beep sound.
