Im off to university in september so im trying to build a computer thats going to last the full 3 years of my course without any upgrades, since my laptop just failed on me. I cant really say a main use for this computer as it will be used for anything it can, but I am a moderate gamer so I want it to be able to run most of the newer games easily. Obviously in a year or two I may have to upgrade the GPU to suit the newer games.

Case: Zalman Z9-Plus

CPU: Intel Core i5 2500K

Motherboard: Asrock p67 EXTREME4

Memory: Corsair CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9 8GB 1600MHz CL9 DDR3 Vengeance

GPU: XFX HD 6870 1GB

PSU: Corsair CX 600W ATX2.2

HDD: Samsung Spin Point F3

DVD-RW: Pioneer DVR-S19LBK

no, it doesnt look like you were right.

Jamesxd: Do you plan to OC or add a second 6870 at a later date? The one thing i would change is the PSU, you can do better for around the same price, although which one would depend on your needs.

haters gonna hate. and if you gonna add another card later then get something a little better. the XFX 650 would be good. its modular and 80 plus bronze i believe. it should suffice.
