I have Photoshop CS installed (on windows xp) and have Nikon D70 camera
(NEF raw files). I checked and i have 'camera raw' plugin but for some
reason it is not 'activated' or something. I understand that camera
raw's suppose to work automatic with any raw files it supports (and i
know it supposed to support this camera) and yet when double clicking
on them from the file browser- it goes through PP (picture project-
Nikon's plugin) and not camera raw- I don't know how to change it...
any suggestions?... Thanks, rin.

There's a known conflict between the Nikon converter and Photoshop. To
use ACR you need to delete or move the Nikon plug-in from the Photoshop
directory.

Goto Adobe site and download the latest RAW converter for your PS CS .
ver 2.4 was the latest IIRC

Also, don't forget if you right-click on any file there's an option called
"open with." You may need to use this to send images to the program you
want when you click on them.
