Hello,

I am looking for a mini barebones system for an AM3 processor (Phenom II) that can accept 16GB of memory. Graphics performance is not a consideration.

Thanks

Not sure what the sticky form is?

I want to build a box that will run VMware ESX, so either a 4 or 6 core processor, lots of memory (i.e. 16GB) and a 2 TB sata drive. I am not worried about graphics performance, but would like to have the option of adding an additional NIC. Low noise is a priority.

Can't think of anything else.

Thanks, I am sure that would be a killer system but I need a mini type system, something like a Shuttle in size. Sorry if I wasnt clear in my original post.

Look what we can do to reduce size without losing perfomance!

In my first build change the case with this one

LIAN LI PC-A04B Black Aluminum MicroATX Mini Tower Computer Case

Get a MicroATX Motherboard too. The next one seems the best option, as it's an AM3+ one so you can upgrade anytime you want!

GIGABYTE GA-880GMA-USB3 AM3+ AMD 880G HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128490

Other than that, you don't have to change anything else!
