Help please - boot problem

Hi all,

I bought a dell 530 off ebay last week and there are no problems with it apart from when I power it up it takes three attempts to boot successfully. The only modification to it is a geforce 8600gt other than that it's all standard parts. I thought it might be the psu, has anyone got any thoughts on this? If it is the psu, what would you recommend to replace the current one? Also does anyone know how to get rid of the Dell bios splash screen, it's not important I just don't like being reminded I have a dell everytime I boot up!

Hehe, I'm not sure about the Dell splash screen; your problem sounds power related. Does it also crash during gaming? From the google search it looks like that case will support any normal ATX power supply. An 8600 won't require much http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371033 that will suffice for you.

No, booting up seems to be the only issue so far. I'll see how I get on with the new power supply anyway, thanks for the advice!
