Privacy / security with shared network connection

Hello, We have a cox cable modem connected to a WRT54 wireless access port. I want to run an ethernet cable off the WRT54 to an attached apartment we are renting where there will be another WAP for the tenant's use.

Understandably both i and the tenant are concerned that computers on either side cant see the other.

What is the most practical and efficient way to set this up??

  1. So long as both have a password on the Windows start up screen and Windows Firewall enabled there should be no problem.

Don't forget to enable wireless security (WPA or better) as your signal footprint will be quite large with two wireless points.
