hey my ive had my pc for a little while now all my ratings are 7.9 except cpu and memory is there a way to get higher? my cpu is clocked to 4.02at the moment and ram is at 1840 i believe
what is the point of getting WEI higher? it is pointless. the only way to get it higher if that is really your aim would be to overclock more or upgrade to a core i7 2600k or upgrade vid card ram etc.....
i was just curious thats all because depending on what parts you have can depend on how much it goes up by too because before i just had a normal 320gb samsung hdd and for memory and cpu the rating was 7.6 the ssd i got was a vertex sata 3 so im just guessing that it all helps out with the other parts?
The WEI score shows the LOWEST hardware performance item not the system performance. The individual scores show each hardware section. I believe in Win 7 the highest score possible is 7.9 so even if you installed faster hardware it would still read 7.9 ???

Correct. It says clearly at the top of the system rating screen.
The Windows Experience Index assesses key system components on a scale of 1.0 to 7.9.
