Confused with RAM compatibility and asus z77 board

I am about to purchase an Asus P8Z677-V Pro motherboard. I am going to get 8 GB (2x4GB) sticks...I am looking at the list of compatible RAM from the Asus website and for Corsair it lists CMZ8GX3M2A1600C8 and also CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9....i was looking on newegg and found this RAM

the product number is CMZ8GX3M2X1600C8..this number is the same as above except this is M2X1600 instead of M2A1600....now i know this RAM will probably work but if anything would ever happen with my motherboard i dont want asus to be able to say that i used RAM that wasnt on the list...does anyone know why this RAM wouldnt be on the list? its the same except the timing is different..thanks a lot

The list of approved RAM is not wxhausted. So long as you use RAM that matches the specs of the OEM (ASUS) you should have no problem. That RAM looks to be compliant with ASUS specs, 1.5 V DDR3 12800

you can also post on asus rog under intel non rog mb. there are a few asus tech that read those type of posts. also check ram vendor memory guild. it may be newer then asus.

there is also gskill ripjwas x ram that seems to be newer and has lower timings and is not on the asus list...i need to order this stuff today or tomorrow so i need to figure this out..i know i prob wont notice the difference but im building up a new system so why not get the little bit better memory just for the hell of it...just dont want to get something not on the list provided by asus...the online chat on their website does not seem to work..where is the forum on their website or anywhere i mind be able to contact them
