Memory not showing and too hot?

I have an Asus P5WD2 Premium MB, with 5 GB of DDR3 667 memory installed. However my system is only showing that i have 3GB installed, so i recently bought 4gb and installed for a total of 8gb. But
my system still shows only 3gb. I can't seem to find any info on this and need to know how to get the MB to recognize all the memory. Also, when i ran the PC Probe II software, it says that my memory is running hot????? Any help please.

What is your Windows version?

x64 or x32 bit?

My OS is Win Xp 32 bit, but iam thinking to go Win 7 32 bit soon.

That is why you don't see all the RAM.

Do not get the W7 x32!!! Get W7 x64 instead. All RAM will be usable than.

Don't worry about anything, it works great and its better and faster than XP.

So do not get the Win7 x32bit version : )
