Yeah I support the two party system. One party in the morning and another in the afternoon.[/drinks beer]

The sad thing is that we are one party away from not having a vote at all. Consider that we've gone "from a 63% citizen voting participation turn-out rate in 1960, to 51% in 2000".Source http://mwhodges.home.att.net/voting.htm#trend
How long do you figure it will be till we have no voice in our government at all? You have to choose or the choice will be made for you.

Right now we have almost no voice in our Goverment.
In Washington State we have passed a referendum to cut car tabs tax, and guess what, some politicians found a way to make us pay more on car tabs anyway.
This has happened on other referendums also.

I believe it was Thomas Jefferson who bitterly opposed any party system in our Democracy. People elected were to represent the people who elected them.
Hey, isn't that what our founding fathers wanted?

There's nothing in our constitution that says their can't be any other parties. The problem is the Democrats and Republicans make it impossible for other parties to run. They have a "monopoly" over America's political system. The problem comes from them making up laws making it hard for any third party to run or stand a chance. Look at nader, he was denied to run in certain states because of the Republicans (though the Democrats aren't any less cut-throat.)
