I am just starting on my new build (YAY!!), and while putting a second fan in the top, I have two completely unrelated yet simultaneous questions.

1. Picking through the wires coming from the front/top of the case, I can identify (I think) all of the wires except a balck/red pair that is not twisted together. It's a bit tight for my fat fingers to try and really pick apart where it goes, so can I cheat and ask someone who knows just what that is?

2. I picked up the second fan for the top of this case. I see that the rear top fan is blowing out (upward). Should the front one blow in (down)? Bear in mind that I added the extra 120mm fan blowing through the GPU duct, too.

For reference, the build SHOULD be included in my signature, assuming I did that right...

Hi.

1- Give some hours to arrive to my home and I will confirm what it's
2- The 2nd top fan should go in the same way as the 1st one, blowing air out of the case.

2- OK.
1- It is the same setup as the LED light for the front fan, which is mounted on the bottom. A 2-pin male lead, and the fan is a 2-pin female lead. So, while I suspect that is what it connects to, I will wait to hear from you again.
I am just finishing my build outside the box.
Here's hoping it POSTs.

Those are for the front fan of the case, more exactly the LED red of the front fan.

Alrighty, thanks for the help.
Probably good you mentionted AHCI.
I read about that a while back, but had since shuffled it to the back of my mind with all the New Kids On the Block lyrics and suppressed memories of Neverland Ranch.
I'm not that smart at this stuff, just know enough to be dangerous.
