Hello,
I'm planning on building my gaming rig soon and was just wondering which motherboard to buy.
The options are:

asus p8z77 v deluxe http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

or the ASRock Z77 extreme6 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

or the ASRock Z77 extreme4 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Or please recommend any other good motherboards for GAMING.

This Rig will be used for gaming and internet surfing and eventually over-clocking.
My motherboard will also go with the intel sandy bridge i5 2500k (since i heard it was the best for gaming, if others are better feel free to advise me about it)
Thanks :)

for gaming i'd go with extreme 4 and save money to grab a decent gpu for games.

those are mobos are identical in the term of performance, but they had a little different features. So my answer is no there is no difference.

Motherboard does not increase the performance.

ASUS Maximus V Gene is the best micro ATX mobo for GAMING.

Instead of 2500k, go for 3770k. You'll get about 10~15% more performance.
Pair it with a GTX 670 or GTX 680 if you can find one (depending on your budget) and what you get is a true Gaming BEAST. cheers.

You sure you mean the 3770k instead of the 3570k, because the increase in price isn't worth the performance boost. Plus, hyper threading isn't all that useful for gaming.

since its summer time

i think a mobo that likes the sun and the beach is your best option

based on my experience i prefer asus over asrock as far as a dependability
and rebate process... asus i have always got my rebates back

You sure The ivy bridge is good? because from the reviews that i've been reading, apparently the sandy bridge i5 2500k or the i7 2600k are better performance wise for games as i will be overclocking my PC.
I read somewhere and it said you can overclock the i5 2500k higher than the Ivy bridge ones?
thanks for the help guys :)

well, if you want hardcore overclocking then go with 2500k, but again i5 3570k is fastest gaming cpu, could be overlock well but you need a decent cpu.
