What would be the best processor that my ASrock N68C-S UCC motherboard can handle?

Are you sure it isn't made by Asrock?

In any event, it really depends on how you define best.

You probably want to look at a Phenom 2 x4 with the numbers 955, 965, or 980 and with or without BE.

By best i mean the fastest for gaming and multitasking.
I do a lot of video converting so a cpu thats good for that too.

i have a phenom II x4 955 and its perfect for gaming, but if you want the novelty (thats all it is) you can get a phenom II x6 cpu :p  the 955 OC's quite well too!

Get this one. The Six-Core CPU will do just what u want to do, like video editing.

I think he would be better off with a 980 @ 3.7 ghz than a 1045 @ 2.7 ghz.

If he is doing gaming the more cores won't help him as much as the increased clock speed.

IIRC the Thubans OC worse than the Denebs too.

If I had to choose, I would opt for the better gaming performance and slightly worse video editing performance, but the OP can decide that.

The 1045T should win out if the video editing is the most important from a performance standpoint.

Well his mobo supports only 95W and 980 is 125W.

I failed at life. Sorry I missed that.

I would go with the 955 in that case, but the 1045T would be much better comparitavely.

I wouldn't suggest doing it.

It would likely not start, but there is some remote chance of hardware damage that I wouldn't ignore.

I highly doubt it will work fine, though.
