Palit GTS 450 Issues

Hi all,

Im experiencing some unwelcome issues with my graphics card [Palit GTS 450 Sonic (1024MB GDDR5)], which was a replacement for my 8800 GTX which finally died after several resurrections from the oven.

First of all I noticed that the preview image in the NVIDIA Control Panel has graphical errors, white dots and also random graphical square type errors repeating several times a second (see screen shot).

Im also getting display driver errors, freezes and crashes in games like TF2 and SC2 right from loading, returning to desktop.

I've tried reinstalling drivers (259.22, 266.58, 267.59) using driver sweeper in safe mode and also underclocking with VTune but the same problems occur.

I've tested PSU volts which are ok.

Boot and 2D is all fine.

I'm now wondering whether I have a faulty graphics card?
