Acer x243w

Hello,

I am running on Win7 with an ATI Radeon X1300 video card. I recently purchased an Acer x243W monitor and can't seem to get any resolution higher than 1440 X 900. When I change the setting to anything higher I get a blank screen until it resets to the previous setting. Any thoughts on how to utilize the higher resolutions capable with this monitor?

I do not think the Radeon X1300 works well with Win7 since it is on legacy drivers.

Also at higher resolutions the X1300 performs poorly on desktop performance.

Not being able to select higher than 1440x900 suggests the drivers do not work or aren't the most up to date ones.

Either way it isn't going to work very well.

The only real solution is to buy a new video card; Radeon 4650/70 is a good choice.
