Hello all,

My name is Tom, I'm based in the Philippines.

I'm currently putting together a rig and wanted to get the opinion of the people on this community.

I am trying to put together a mid performance budget rig.

I currently have a AMD Phenom II X4 960T processor.

But I'm looking at 3 different motherboards that fall within my budget.

I'm choosing between the following:

Gigabyte 880GM-D2H
Asus M4A785D-M PRO
Asus M4A88T-M LE

I've done some preliminary research but still would like to get opinions from those more experienced than myself.

Appreciate it.

Thanks everyone!

Regards,

Tom

I suggest you should forget about the M4A785... it is old and uses DDR2 ram (slower and more expensive than the newer DDR3).

Hey spankmon, thanks for pointing that out. I hadn't noticed that during my initial research. That narrows it down then. It's between the Gigabyte 880GM-D2H and the Asus M4A88T-M LE.

I have increased my budget a bit and have decided to go with the following combination: AMD Phenom II X6 1100T (Because the X4 960T has been phased out here in Manila to make way for the more expensive Bulldozer series) and an ASRock 970 Extreme4.
