hi am trying to find the motherboard connections to the power button /harddrive light /reset and power light on a hp pavilion slimline s3707c that is dead

Well normally that kind of connectors are placed around the motherboard, close to the edges. The most sure way is to just follow the cables going from the buttons and the LEDs from the case to the motherboard.
